| Hey everybody!
So what's up in y'alls lives?
My world is wonderful and I have one week of class until finals. Woohoo. yeah baby.
I'm putting the finishing touches on my last paper for this semester. It's a paper about King Lear and how his internal blindess to reality reflects Glouchester's physical blindness. it's also about how Clear vision doesn't just emanate from the eye alone because the physical world the eye beholds will often drape a deceitfully sparkling shoud around the painful truth to cover glaring evils with ostensibly appealing physical attributes. So i think to truly understand the people external vision must be guided my an internal compass. yeah so that's what i'm thinking about at the moment.
Also i'm at my desk looking at an empty wine bottle with a single gorgious rose bursting our of the top. so simple. so elegant. so beautiful.
dave matthews rocks.
last night i tangoed until my toes turned treacherously and testingly tepid. it's ok though. well worth it.
love latin dances.
the wind is blowing the trees so strongly i think they are laughing with God.
" do we not need to light lanterns in the morning? Gods too decompose. God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him." |

"Always alone in the midst of men I come to my room to dream by myself, to abandom myself to my melancholy in all its sharpness. In which direction does it lead today? Toward death. The men with whom I live and probably always shall live have ways as different from mine as the moon is from the sun."

this is me and my good buddy and all of our wonderful goodies. just thought i'd share the goodness.
but on another note:
i had great intentions to cook pecan pralines today but while i was spooning in the baking soda disaster struck.
all of a sudden the liquid batter began boiling over the sides and i panicked and tried to rush the pan to the sink (which was logical) but the gooey caramel like liquid kept pouring and bubbling over the sides and it splashed all over the floor and down the counter tops and dripped inside the draws. need i mention the state of my clothes and hands???
not to fear though, i won't be defeated in my pecan candy making. I shall try again next week when my wounded chef skills and my kitchen counters have sufficiently recovered.
please join us again for weekly episodes and adventures with "Kooking with Kimbell!!!"
